Wren Spice patterned tiled floor in an interior

Appleton Brooks collection

Wren

Wren uses pattern as a material in its own right. Four distinct graphic designs are held within the same compact square format, so repetition, grout lines and the relationship between neighbouring tiles become part of the finished surface.

Rather than offering colour variations of one motif, Scallop, Spice, Saint and Saddle each create a different decorative rhythm. The shared matt character keeps the collection grounded, making it easy to introduce pattern without the surface feeling overly polished or ornamental.

The palette

Four patterns, one compact decorative rhythm.

Scallop, Spice, Saint and Saddle are four distinct designs rather than colour variations of one motif. Each creates its own repeated rhythm, while the shared square scale and matt surface keep the collection visually connected. The choice is therefore less about matching colours and more about selecting the pattern language that suits the scheme.
