Requesting samples

Our website allows you to request samples to help you choose tiles for your project. A sample request is separate from a tile order and does not commit you to buying tiles. We do not take tile orders or payments through the website.

Choose your samples using the website and submit the requested contact and delivery details. Please check that these are accurate. We may contact you if we need more information, a sample is unavailable or a selection requires clarification. A submission acknowledgement confirms receipt of your request; it does not guarantee availability or a dispatch date.

Sample charges and availability

You can request up to 15 samples. Samples and standard delivery to UK mainland addresses are free. You do not need to return the samples. For an address outside the UK mainland, please contact us to discuss whether we can help before submitting a request.

If a requested sample is unavailable, we will contact you about the options. We will not substitute a different product without explaining the change and obtaining your agreement.

Delivery

Delivery is typically 2–3 days. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date. Availability or delivery disruption may affect timing; contact us if your request is time-sensitive.

If you need a sample for a particular date, contact us before requesting it so we can discuss what is possible. Please tell us promptly if your address changes; a change may not be possible once the parcel has been dispatched.

Missing or damaged samples

If your samples do not arrive when expected, arrive damaged or differ from your request, email sales@appletonbrooks.com with your name and request details. Photographs may help us investigate damage where practical. We will discuss an appropriate resolution with you. We do not impose a short notification deadline that removes statutory rights.

No sample returns are required. Our registered office is not a showroom, collection point or returns facility.

Assessing a sample

Colours can appear different under different lighting. Natural materials and patterned products may vary between pieces and batches. Ask us about the expected variation, finish and technical suitability before placing a tile order. This does not affect your rights where goods must match an agreed description or sample.
